Almost Pueblos

WOW, so the response to the EP has been pretty good.
I'm writing this from my work desk(my front room)
while addressing some letters to friends across state, and the band pocahaunted.
I hope they enjoy the EP.

We're really proud of what people have been saying about it, even though it hasn't been spread around THAT much.
Naturally, we're going to be starting work on a new batch of songs this coming monday hopefully, for the next EP, we dont have a concept yet but I can tell you that it wont sound anything like Almost Pueblos.

We hope this EP gets us the exposure we've been wanting for quite some time, and gets us playing shows in the LA area.

Hopefully you people will be reading these posts after seeing us play an awesome show.
I know as of know...no readers. lets make that change~

Whats Happenin'

Let me fill in what has been going on, basically we're done recording 4 out of 5 songs, it took a little longer than we expected but everything is still going well.
Once we're done with the last song, we're going to go ahead and give all the tracks a good listen, and decide what we want to over lay and mix-in for post production.

It is pretty exciting, because this is the first time we've really gone all out on recording something.
I'm pretty satisfied with the results!
The songs we've completed are:
Moon Sands
I Want To(formerly China Man)
FuckJelly(still working title)
Fessa(formerly Oct 25)

Don't know when we'll be done by, but I'm hoping we get the last song recorded by or before monday.

Official work begins tomorrow!

Due to technical difficulties, and friendly visits. We were not able to get an early start on the EP.
However, all friends have returned back to their hometowns, and all technical mishaps have been solved.

So starting monday after school we will officially start working on the ep.
The plan is to record the basics of all 5 tracks and then give them a good listen to get an idea of what we want to add.

We'll probably start with moon sands tomorrow, which will be the first track. We don't particularly want to record it in order, it just seems like thats the best place to start.

here is the tracklisting with working titles:

Moon Sands
ChinaMan
PhilNew
Oct. 25
CricketSong/Nighty

Not sure how many of these names will be changed but I can definately tell you that PhilNew and Oct. 25 will be.

hope everyone who reads stays interested, if anyone reads at all.

Adobes on the hillside/while this town is busy sleeping.

those are the two names that are in consideration I think!

Well either way official work on the EP starts tomorrow but knowing the way we work, we probably wont start tomorrow :(

lets hope!

excited to know that jenny will still be doing the art work, and when she sends some samples perhaps i'll post them. Its doubtful that anyone reads these though!

its cool, i mean when we develop a following someone will have these nice old posts to document the making of something!

We were going to play two shows from outsider folk, but it appears that their schedules have become full for the two available dates, but we'd be kept into consideration for any future concerts.

psh i sure hope so, dying to play live, its driving us crazy!

lazy.

ah.
I'm going to love you baby until the early mornin' sun

The First Post!

Hi, I suppose this is the first post, and my first ever blog!

We are Lazy Loons, and we make some pretty cool music.
Currently we are working on an EP of intimate little songs that are very warm with lots of acoustic textures and reverb soaked harmonies. Or something along those lines!

The artwork might be done by west indian jenny! but who knows.
it should be done within a month and passed out along the streets of San Francisco, and hopefully personally delivered in the LA area.
We'll keep you updated with pictures and all that kinds of stuff! maybe even little samples.
